National Day of Made in Italy

Special openings of 28 manufacturing plants, archives and business museums

  • The initiative, supported and promoted by the Historical Trademarks Association and Museimpresa, involves historic companies throughout Italy.

Rome, April 9, 2024 – From April 15 through April 24, on the occasion of the first National Day of Made in Italy, twenty-eight companies and foundations will open the doors of their production facilities and business museums to tell the story of Made in Italy.

The initiative, promoted byAssociation of Italian Historical Trademarks and Museimpresa – Associazione Italiana Archivi e Musei d’Impresa, is aimed at the general public and young people, with the goal of bringing them closer to the productive excellence of the territories of reference. Tours designed for students, retrospective exhibitions, tastings, workshops, immersive experiences-all innovative formulas to turn the spotlight on Made in Italy.

Among the businesses participating in the special openings, ten are also affiliated withAssociation of Italian Historical Trademarks: Birra Forst, among the latest members, Buccellati, De Nigris, Emilio Schuberth, Lucano 1894, Mazzetti d’Altavilla, Ravazzolo, Spinosi, Walcor, and Zacchera Hotels. Nineteen museums and business archives associated with Museimpresa: In addition to the Essenza Lucano Museum also the Bitossi Museum Archives, Bosch – Rexroth Historical Archives, Casa Martini, National Federation of Knights of Labor, Dalmine Foundation, Fiera Milano Foundation, Campari Gallery, Kartell Museum, The Showcase of Ingenuity, MUCA – Monfalcone Shipbuilding Museum, MUMAC – Cimbali Group’s Coffee Machine Museum, the Insurance Museum, Carlo Carli Olive Museum, Pescia Paper Museum, Cuomo Pasta Museum, Nicolis Museum, Osservatorio Monografie d’Impresa, and Spazio Strega.

The virtuous relationship between Museimpresa and the Association Historical Trademarks and public-private collaboration between businesses and institutions are essential in this perspective“.

With these special openings,” highlights Association President Historical Trademarks Massimo Caputi. we want young people to rediscover the “beauty of the factory,” that is, all the historical, artistic and innovative heritage created, promoted and cherished by our country’s historic enterprises. We want to encourage the reconstruction of a positive perception of the industrial sector, which will also be the theme of Antonio Calabrò’s lectio magistralis to be held next April 17 in Rome, and which is part of a path of dialogue with the younger generations“.

The lectio magistralis by the president of Museimpresa, titled “Italy, Our Industrial Pride,” will be held at 10 a.m. in the Spadolini Hall of the Ministry of Culture. Primarily aimed at High Technical Institutes, it will focus on the theme of “industrial humanism,” a new way of doing business that holds together technology, design, culture, heritage and sustainability, while always maintaining a close relationship with local cultures and the traditions of manufacturing districts.
