Rome, May 20, 2026 – The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks warmly welcomes the acquisition of Speedline by SIGIT. The transaction, featuring a member company, unites two entities holding Historical Trademarks of National Interest recognition, marking the start of the revival of an Italian industry excellence.
“We have always maintained that Historical Trademarks should be considered not only expressions of the country’s industrial memory and manufacturing identity, but active players in its economic and industrial development. The SIGIT-Speedline operation offers a concrete demonstration of this, with an Italian Historical Trademarks investing in the revitalization of another national manufacturing reality, thus preserving skills, know-how and strategic industrial value for Made in Italy. This is an important signal of confidence in the ability of our companies to also be protagonists of the country’s manufacturing future,” said Massimo Caputi, President of the Association of Italian Historical Trademarks.
The operation highlights how companies with a strong identity can make a concrete contribution to the enhancement of strategic national assets, with positive impacts on the production system.
“This acquisition represents a crucial step for us and a tangible investment in the country’s industrial vision, just in the year that SIGIT turns 60. We believed strongly in the re-launch of Speedline because we share the same deep connection with Italian manufacturing culture, and in this perspective the role of the Association of Italian Historical Trademarks is fundamental to networking. Precisely to follow up on that vision, we are proud to announce that Speedline, which recently reached the 50-year milestone, will also officially join the Association, joining the large Made in Italy family that plans for the future.” concluded Pierangelo Decisi, president of SIGIT.
