With its modern production facility in Montesarchio, in the province of Benevento, Olio Dante S.p.A. is today one of the leading international companies in the production of edible oils, with a brand portfolio that includes Dante, Lupi, Olita, Topazio, and OiO, and a commercial presence in approximately 60 countries worldwide.
The Dante brand, the heart of the company and a symbol of “Made in Italy,” was founded in 1898 and, over the decades, has become one of the best-known and most highly regarded olive oils, bringing the culture and quality of Italy’s culinary tradition to international markets.


Alongside the historic Dante brand, the company’s history also includes Topazio, founded in 1957 by Chiari&Forti of Silea (TV) and considered the first brand of packaged seed oil in Italy, recognizable by its iconic blue can with golden drops, and Olita, launched in 1963 with its famous three-pronged yellow fork logo and born from the experience of the Star food company.
In 2025, Olio Dante was recognized as a Historical Trademark of National Interest, officially entering the Special Register of Historical Trademarks established by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy. This recognition highlights an entrepreneurial history spanning over 120 years and the company’s role in promoting Italian culinary excellence around the world.
