Layla Cosmetics is celebrating its 90th anniversary with a stamp dedicated to the excellence of Made in Italy
The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks expresses great satisfaction with the issuance of the regular postage stamp commemorating the 90th anniversary of Layla Cosmetics, unveiled on July 7, 2026, at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy in Rome as part of the thematic series “Excellence in the Manufacturing Sector and Made in Italy.”
The ceremony took place in the presence of Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy; Fausta Bergamotto, Undersecretary of State with responsibility for Philately; Fausta Bergamotto, representatives from the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, Poste Italiane, and the companies featured in the new stamp issues, dedicated to some of the most representative examples of “Made in Italy” excellence.
For the Association, this recognition holds special significance. The stamp’s issuance follows a recommendation that the Association of Italian Historical Trademarks had submitted to the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, proposing Layla Cosmetics as one of the businesses deserving of recognition within the philatelic program dedicated to the excellence of Made in Italy. The Ministry accepted this proposal, recognizing the historical, industrial, and cultural significance of one of the most representative brands in Italian cosmetics.

Founded in Milan in 1936, Layla Cosmetics is a historic name in the Italian cosmetics industry. For nearly ninety years, it has been serving generations of consumers with products that have shaped the history of Italian manicures, distinguishing itself through quality, research, and a commitment to innovation. The stamp celebrates this very journey, depicting the historic Layla nail polish bottle alongside its contemporary version, reflecting the brand’s evolution marked by continuity.
During the ceremony, Minister Adolfo Urso emphasized that the selected companies represent “industrial histories deeply rooted in their local communities, united by a continuity of tradition and a capacity for innovation,” highlighting the value of the stamp program as a tool for showcasing the country’s industrial identity. Undersecretary Fausta Bergamotto also noted that these companies share a passion for tradition, a commitment to quality, a focus on innovation, and a strong connection to their local communities—distinctive elements of Italian manufacturing excellence.

The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks extends its congratulations to Layla Cosmetics on this significant milestone, which represents a prestigious recognition of the company’s historical and entrepreneurial value and reaffirms the importance of promoting and highlighting Italy’s industrial heritage through the Historical Trademarks of National Interest.
