MUMAC EXHIBITION “1956-2026: CHE IMPRESE!”
Italian enterprises between legacy and future
The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks is pleased to sponsor the exhibition “1956–2026: CHE IMPRESE!” Italian companies between heritage and future,” promoted by MUMAC – Cimbali Group’s Coffee Machine Museum in collaboration with MuseoCity and included among the special projects of Milano MuseoCity 2026.
The opening will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 6 p.m. at the Cimbali Group Flagship, in the heart of Milan’s Tortona District, with a vernissage and talk dedicated to the relationship between business, culture and major international sporting events.
The exhibition proposes a dialogue between 1956 and 2026, comparing iconic objects, archival materials and testimonies that tell the technological, production and design evolution of Made in Italy. A journey that highlights the commonality of values between sports and industrial enterprises: vision, discipline, teamwork, innovation and responsibility towards the future.
Alongside MUMAC, major Italian museums and business archives are participating, including Museo Alessi, Barilla Historical Archives, FILA Museum Foundation, Kartell Museum, Lavazza Historical Archives, MARTINI Historical Archives, Olivetti Archives, Pirelli Foundation and Sisal Historical Archives.
Particularly significant is the presence of pieces from the MUMAC collection related to the historical trademarks La Cimbali and Faema, including the 1956 Cambi Olimpic machine made for the 1956 Winter Olympic Games in Cortina d’Ampezzo, a symbol of the link between sport, technology and innovation.
The inaugural talk will feature talks by Marco Amato, Francesca Colombo, Damiano Gullì, Pierluigi Panza and Antonella Stelitano, with introduction by Barbara Foglia, MUMAC Director.
The exhibition will be open to the public from February 28 to March 5, 2026 (free admission subject to availability). There will also be a special opening of MUMAC in Binasco on Sunday, March 1, with a dedicated shuttle from Milan.
An initiative that fully interprets the theme “The Enterprises of Culture” and confirms how industrial heritage represents a cultural, identity and social value for the country, capable of connecting memory and future.
