Mokito joins the Association of Italian Historical Trademarks

The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks is pleased to announce the entry among its Members of Mokito, a historic Italian coffee brand, registered on April 18, 2024 in the Special Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest, established by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT).

The history of Mokito has its roots in 1931, in the heart of Milan, when Daniele De Bei founded ICAM – Importazione Caffè Arabo Mokito. From its origins, the company stands out as a reference point for Northern Italy, building a solid identity linked to the Milanese coffee tradition.

The post-World War II period marked a decisive turning point: with the spread of the espresso machine in bars, Mokito oriented its production toward the creation of fine blends dedicated to espresso extraction, becoming a supplier to the best Italian bars and restaurants. Since then, the search for the perfect espresso has become the heart of the company’s philosophy.

On the strength of more than ninety years of experience and four generations of master roasters, Mokito has made quality an indispensable value. Roasting, entrusted to dedicated operators according to the so-called Milanese Method, is the central moment of a production process that combines tradition, artisanal expertise and innovative use of technology.

The quality of Mokito Coffee is built along the entire supply chain: from the selection of beans in countries of origin to repeated controls, from blending to packaging in special and innovative packaging designed to preserve fragrance and aromatic properties. The recipes of the blends, true professional secrets, have been handed down and constantly refined since 1931.

Today Mokito is also present in international markets, thanks to an efficient distribution network that starts from warehouses in Milan and Nice, guaranteeing customers all over the world products that are always in the best freshness and performance conditions.
