Forst Beer and Saquella Coffee Honored with a Stamp Dedicated to the Best of Made in Italy

On September 3, 2026, at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy in Rome, the new stamps from the thematic series “The Excellence of the Italian Manufacturing System and Made in Italy” were unveiled. These stamps are dedicated to six companies that symbolize Italy’s historic manufacturing heritage, including Birra Forst and Saquella Caffè, two member companies that were recommended to the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy as part of the program dedicated to promoting the excellence of Made in Italy.

The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks expresses great satisfaction with this important recognition, which shines a spotlight on two entities that embody Italian history and craftsmanship. The ceremony was attended by Minister Adolfo Urso, Undersecretary of State for Philately Fausta Bergamotto, representatives from the State Printing Office and Mint and Poste Italiane, along with the companies featured in the new stamp issues.

Founded in 1857, Birra Forst is one of Italy’s oldest breweries and still maintains strong ties to the South Tyrol region today. The stamp dedicated to the company depicts the distinctive FORST Kronen glass, with the logo and coat of arms integrated into its recognizable “butterfly” shape, against a backdrop of mountains that evoke the company’s connection to the region. The design is completed by the caption “SINCE 1857” and the word “ITALY.”

With a history dating back to 1856, Saquella Caffè is one of the longest-standing coffee roasters in Italy. Founded in Pescara, the company has built its identity on the tradition and culture of Italian coffee. The stamp commemorates this journey through the reimagined historic Caffè Saquella logo and the inscription “TORREFATTORI IN PESCARA,” along with the caption “DAL 1856” and the word “ITALIA.”

During the ceremony, Minister Adolfo Urso emphasized that the companies being honored have “shaped the history of ‘Made in Italy’ over the years,” embodying a manufacturing culture recognized worldwide. Undersecretary Fausta Bergamotto highlighted the value of these companies as ambassadors of Italian quality and craftsmanship.

The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks extends its congratulations to Birra Forst and Saquella Caffè on this prestigious award, which celebrates two important Italian entrepreneurial stories and reaffirms the value of Historical Trademarks as part of the country’s industrial heritage.
