Carthusia Wins an Award at the 2026 Accademia del Profumo Awards
The Historical Trademark Carthusia received a major accolade at the 2026 Accademia del Profumo Awards: the Intenso di Basilico fragrance was named Best Made in Italy Men’s Fragrance.
The awards ceremony took place on September 20 at La Scala in Milan, during the closing night of the fifth edition of Milan Beauty Week.
Launched in 2025 and created in collaboration with master perfumer Luca Maffei, the fragrance is part of Carthusia’s Intenso Collection and stems from a contemporary reinterpretation of one of the most iconic elements of Mediterranean heritage: basil.
This award recognizes the achievements of a company that has built its identity on its connection to Capri, its tradition of craftsmanship, and its ability to blend heritage and innovation.
“The launch of the Intenso Collection demonstrates how a rich historical heritage can continually reinvent itself, resonating with the tastes and appreciation of both critics and the public,” commented Virginia Ruocco, Brand Manager at Carthusia, who accepted the award alongside Luca Maffei.
The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks extends its congratulations to Carthusia on this prestigious achievement, which helps highlight the excellence, creativity, and craftsmanship of Italian perfumery.
