Acqua e Terme di Fiuggi joins the Association of Italian Historical Trademarks
The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks is pleased to announce the entry among its Members of Acqua e Terme di Fiuggi, enrolled on September 23, 2022 in the Special Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest, established by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT).
The history of Acqua e Terme di Fiuggi is rooted in the distant past, with records of the use of its water dating back nearly a thousand years. Since the Middle Ages, Fiuggi’s water has been prized for its unique properties, becoming over time a benchmark for natural wellness.
Over the centuries, the fame of Fiuggi Water has attracted prominent historical figures, including popes, nobles and artists. Famous is the testimony of Michelangelo Buonarroti, who in the 16th century described Fiuggi water as “the water that breaks stone,” confirming its notoriety and use as early as Renaissance times.
The water springs from the heart of the Ernici Mountains, from unspoiled territory, and is linked in particular to the historic Fonte Bonifacio VIII and Fonte Anticolana, which still represent the core of the brand’s identity and deep connection with the territory.
After centuries of use and recognition, Acqua e Terme di Fiuggi has become an Italian wellness icon, capable of combining tradition, quality and innovation. In recent years the brand has embarked on an important path of renewal, enhancing its millennial history through a contemporary vision, attentive to sustainability and the new languages of Made in Italy.
With the entry of Acqua e Terme di Fiuggi, the Association welcomes a brand that exemplarily represents the historical continuity, international reputation and cultural value of the Italian manufacturing tradition.
Welcome Acqua e Terme di Fiuggi among the Historical Trademarks of Italy!
