Cantarelli 1876 joins the Historical Trademarks of Italy
The Association of Italian Historical Trademarks is pleased to announce the entry among its Members of Cantarelli 1876, a historic Emilian brand entered in the Special Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest as of April 15, 2021, established by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy.
The Cantarelli family of Sant’Ilario d’Enza were the first exporters in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to South America and the United States, thanks to the insights of Massimiliano and his son, who gave the first strong impetus to conquer foreign markets.
Between 1950 and 1980, the foresight of Bruno Cantarelli, who was able to combine commercial skill, profound knowledge of the production territory and experience in selecting excellent cheeses, made the company the protagonist of further important growth, both abroad and in Italy.
Today, still at the old headquarters in Sant’Ilario, the company is led by his son Massimiliano who, together with his sons, represents the sixth generation, witnessing one of the longest-lived companies in our country.
After almost 150 years, the presence of the Cantarelli family guarantees today, as then, the possibility of tasting excellent products in all their aspects, rich in ancient fragrances and scents thanks to the special maturing process, still carried out in the stone warehouses built at the end of the 19th century.
Welcome Cantarelli 1876 among the Historical Trademarks of Italy!
