UIBM publishes 2024 Report: deposits of Historical Trademarks of National Interest in line with previous years

The Activity Report 2024 is available on the website of the Italian Patent and Trademark Office.

From 2020, when the Special Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest was first established, to 2024, a total of 953 applications were filed. Of these, 182 were filed in 2024, a number in line with that of the previous year. These applications can only be submitted through the online filing system.

There were 155 acceptance orders issued regarding applications for the registration of historical trademarks during 2024, confirming the high level of attention to the protection and enhancement of the traditional heritage of excellence generated by Italian companies.

The Historical Trademarks constitute a heritage of great value for businesses and for Italy, an expression of the excellence of our production system and the strong link with the identity and culture of the territories.
