Italian Historical Trademark is born: decree published in the Official Gazette
The February 28, 2025 Decree of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, which officially establishes theItalian Historical Trademark, an English-language version of the “Historical Trademarks of National Interest,” has been published in the Official Gazette.
The new logo, which can be used by companies registered in the Special Register of Historical Trademarks, represents an important opportunity to enhance the identity of Italian Historical Trademarks in international markets, increasing the recognizability and authenticity of products abroad.
The establishment of the Italian Historical Trademark is the result of an initiative promoted and strongly desired byAssociation of Italian Historical Trademarks, with the aim of offering companies an additional tool for the protection and promotion of the national industrial heritage.
Among the main advantages of the new logo:
- Greater effectiveness in the fight against Italian Sounding;
- Concrete support for internationalization and export activities;
- Unambiguous recognition of the historical and cultural value of Italian enterprises abroad.
Historical Trademarks businesses will now also be able to tell their stories in English thanks to an internationally recognized official logo.
