Anti-counterfeiting technologies: free support to protect MPMIs in the Made in Italy

Combating counterfeiting is a priority for companies that guard the heritage of Made in Italy, especially Historical Trademarks. To support Italian companies in this challenge, the Sportello Tecnologie Anticontraffazione (Anti-counterfeiting Technology Desk), a joint initiative of the Directorate General for Industrial Property-Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT) and the State Mint and Printing Institute, is restarting.

The Desk is designed to offer a free assistance and guidance service aimed at informing businesses about the latest technological solutions to combat counterfeiting. Effective protection is crucial for Italy’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, which are the beating heart of our production system and often face significant risks related to fraudulent imitation of their products.

Through this initiative, companies can receive specialized support to identify and adopt innovative tools to protect their brands and products, helping to preserve the value and reputation of Made in Italy around the world.
