Agriculture Made in Italy: new financing dedicated to SMEs
New resources are coming to support the historical supply chains of Made in Italy agribusiness. Intesa Sanpaolo has announced a ceiling of 10 billion euros in subsidized credit lines designed to promote the development of Italian companies in the agri-food sector, with a special focus on the wine industry, one of the symbols of national excellence.
The initiative is part of the Group’s larger 410-billion-euro allocation to support NRP-related measures, and aims to boost the growth of agricultural SMEs through four strategic directions:
- expansion to foreign markets, facing global challenges such as tariffs and economic instability;
- Dimensional growth, including through M&A transactions;
- Investment in innovative plant, equipment and technology;
- enhancement of quality and business continuity, strengthening consumer confidence.
Among the most significant measures, 1.5 billion euros will be dedicated to 7,000 Italian wineries, with investment paths on cultivation, processing, aging, traceability and marketing.
The announcement was made during Agri-talk, an event dedicated to innovation in agriculture, where Intesa Sanpaolo’s Agribusiness Department reaffirmed its commitment with a network of 250 operating points and 95 specialized branches, serving businesses that focus on internationalization, sustainability, digitalization and generational turnover.
For Historical Trademarks active in the agribusiness sector, this represents a concrete opportunity to strengthen the link between tradition and innovation, making the most of their identity heritage.
